Do you want to know how to get your books published? Join us at Werner books on Wednesday, April 10th at 6 pm for a workshop on how to get published with Erie native Kristen Mankosa and Londoner Jonathan Eyers. Together they'll take you through the process on what to do with your manuscript, how to get an agent, the difference between traditional and self publishing, and how books get from your desk to a bookstore shelf. Demystify the publishing process and discover how you can start your publishing journey. The workshop will feature an informational talk and a Q&A session followed by a casual mingle for chat, drinks, and the opportunity to ask questions in a more private capacity.

Kristen Mankosa is an Erie native who has worked across several publishers, including Bloomsbury and DK (part of the Penguin Random House family), in various editorial, marketing, and international sales roles. She currently works at DK Books in the international sales department. Kristen has also spent time as a bookseller in Erie, previously with Pressed Books and, once upon a time, Borders Bookstore. Jonathan Eyers is an editor at Bloomsbury Publishing, where he has worked across both the rights and editorial divisions for more than 10 years. He also works with writers via the Cornerstones Literary Consultancy who have gone on to be published by Bonnier, Boldwood, Orenda and others. His previous mentee, Laura Noakes published with HarperCollins, debuted her novel COSIMA UNFORTUNATE as one of Waterstones Best Children's Books 2023. He is also the author or co-author of six books, for both children and adults, in fiction and non-fiction.
