David  Gorman grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, spending every summer working at  his family's amusement park, which is the setting of his children's  series Waldameer Mystery Files. He honed his writing craft at Bucknell  University, where he studied Creative Writing. After a period of  teaching English in Vietnam, he returned to the US and has held several  jobs in education. He currently lives in Richmond, where he is earning  his masters in school counseling.
