David's family owns and operates Waldameer Park & Water World right  here in Erie, PA. Having had Waldameer as such a large part of his own  childhood, it goes without saying it was the perfect setting for his  series of children's mysteries!  David says of his books,  "I wrote the series with schools in mind. I  wanted to help teachers engage their elementary students with a  children's books that could be used in the classroom. I also wanted my  children's books to teach empathy, integrity, and diversity."
