About the event

Thasia Anne How Far Must I Go? Sunday, November 5 2 - 4 PM

"How Far Must I Go?" is a powerful story of resilience, courage, and hope in the face of adversity. It's a must-read for anyone who has experienced abuse or knows someone who has, and for anyone who believes in the power of love and community to overcome even the most difficult of challenges.

Follow Connie and her beautiful 100-pound senior Chow dog, Bailey, as they journey across the country on the run from her violently abusive husband. Packed with valuable information for victims of domestic violence seeking assistance, this is a must-read for any woman.

As well as writing poetry, Thasia Anne created a TV show that airs on Cable Access Media CAM, Poetry, Prose, and Personalities, with her husband Bear as videographer. It brings the culture of Erie to those who can not get out and about.

Thasia Anne also created Women of Word featuring a Few Man Made Words (WOW), a live performance in it's 11th year.

WOW has a troop of poets reading their individual poetry woven into conversations. Likewise this show allows dancers to interpret song and lyric into movement. This one of a kind poetry performance covers subjects ripped from everyday headlines and explores all sides of those issues.

She has facilitated several poetry workshops and continued live readings at events, workshops, and was a finalist for Erie County Poet Laureate in 2021. In 2022 her poem God's Cathedral was painted on copper and installed permanently in the Albion Fair Arts and Crafts barn, where Thasia has poetry readings and open mic events during the fair.
