Carolina Cruz is a local author with 3 published books in the fantasy and horror genres. Their newest release is a hardcover edition of their horror/romance novella Blood in the Water, which follows a vampire and a human trapped on a ship together. The hardcover edition features new cover art, a series of black and white interior illustrations, and an exclusive short story set after the original novella's end.
Tragedy has struck the Kestrel, a merchant’s ship in the middle of a long voyage. A bloody battle between a monster and the crew has left the ship desolate. There are no survivors save for a single crew member, and a single passenger.
